EDUCATIONAL FORUM – THE CORNERSTONE EVENT IN THE SPHERE OF EDUCATION

On April 25-28, 2006 Sokolniki Culture & Exhibition Centre (Halls 4, 4.1, 4.2, 17, Moscow) will become a host to the 10^th Russian Educational Forum. It will welcome over 350 exhibitors from 11 countries. The exhibit space will occupy 10 000 sq.m. The Forum is aimed at both specialists, teachers and a wide circle of visitors, including senior, applicants and students.

Russian Educational Forum contributes to the unity of the state and society in the field of domestic education. The event will open its doors wide to the representatives of governmental bodies, scientific and educational institutions, public organizations and business structures from a total of 70 regions of Russia. The 10^th jubilee Forum is heralded by the motto: Modern Education and Economy of Knowledge.

Organizers: MVK Holding Company, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Education, Educational Forum Non-Commercial Organization. The Forum is supported by the Federal Service for Educational and Scientific Supervision and patronized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The solemn opening ceremony will take place on April 25, 2006 at 12 pm.

Official invitations to take part in the opening ceremony were sent to M.E. Fradkov, Chairman of the RF Government, B.V. Gryzlov, Chairman of the State Duma, A.A. Fursenko, Minister of Education and Science, S.M. Mironov, Chairman of the Federal Council as well as the managing staff of the RF Ministry of Education and Federal Agency for Education, directors of the largest companies and representatives of the leading social & political organizations.

The Forum will see a free testing on Unified State Exam. Pupils and applicants will get a wonderful opportunity to try their knowledge and consult professionals on a possible choice of educational institutions.

This event encompasses 8 international specialized exhibitions.

The list of participants includes educational managing bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation from St. Petersburg, Udmurtia, Kemerovo, Ulyanovsk, Yekaterinburg, Yakutia, Agin-Buryat Autonomous Area, Ufa, Orenburg and other regions. Special interest will be drawn to the experience of the Education Ministry of Chechen Republic – a regular exhibitor of the fair.

EDU-PROF
The 2^nd international specialized exhibition for institutions of higher,
basic vocational education and technical training

Among the visitors there are the following institutions: Moscow State Technical University named after Bauman, Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Gertsen, Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Informatics, Tambov State Musical and Pedagogical Institute named after S.V. Rakhmaninov as well as the best enterprises in the field of professional education. It is worth mentioning the leaders in this category – colleges from Tula and Vologda regions, Mytishchi Machine Building Technical College, Railroad College № 36, Irkutsk-lyceum and Medical college.

Participants: boarding schools, rest houses, children’s health-improving camps. The exhibition will offer programs of pupils and students exchange with foreign educational institutions as well as overseas educational programmes of all stages. Such youth centres as Okean and Orlenok will present their leisure packages.

EDU-SPORT
The 3^rd international specialized exhibition for sports clubs and organizations, suppliers and manufacturers of sports equipment, trainers, sports wear.
Indoor and outdoor sports grounds

Participants: traditional partner of the Forum Frakht Company, Elmet, Labrand, Sportive Technologies, Bamard and others. Equipment and training facilities will be available to watch and try out on the spot in front of Hall 4.1 in outdoor sports space.

The exhibition will welcome the exposition of Intergovernmental Association of developers and manufacturers of Educational Equipment (MARPUT), which encompasses over 30 enterprises from Russia and beyond – CIS countries. The attendees will witness furniture and equipment for educational institutions, developing games, uniform and footwear and teaching techniques.

As compared with the previous year the exhibit space has increased by 3 times and added to the last year exposition some very important items necessary for the educational process.

Participants: 1S Company, Modern Humanitarian Academy, Kirill and Methodius, Polymedia, L-Micro, Finprommarket and others.

The exhibition will get acquainted with innovative techniques and teaching methods with the application of advanced computer devices as well as with modern distant learning.

Among the exhibits you will see: software for educational institutions, multimedia, audio- and video devices for education and development.

Participants: large publishing offices Drofa, Infra-М, Mnemozina, Onyx, Prosveshchenie, Shkolnik TH and others. The fair will outline educational, cognitive and developing literature: manuals, dictionaries, reading books, teaching & methodical manuals, reference books, encyclopedias, scientific & popular and fiction literature, family pedagogics.

EDU-MUZ
International specialized exhibition of musical educational institutions, manufacturers of musical instruments, teaching technologies and different facilities for musical education.

Participants: music schools and universities, creative collectives and institutions of vocational education, manufacturers and suppliers of music instruments, technologies and equipment.

BUSINESS PROGRAMME OF THE RUSSIAN EDUCATIONAL FORUM

A large-scale business program is worked out with a glance to vital for the modern education problems and development tendencies. The Assembly of the Russian Community on Education Subjects is supposed to be one of the prior events of the Forum. It will include the discussion of Education National Project, and a number of constructive offers on the educational system up-grading. A shorthand report of the Assembly will be directed to the Ministry of Education of Russia and RF Government.

The Forum will also host:

• Investment Salon
  It will display perspective educational projects for financing and their implementation into practice at educational institutions. The Salon will end with the forming of Investment Registry of the Educational Forum.
• All-Russian Parents’ Meeting
  It will bring together all presentations of ideas and initiatives offered by the parents’ unions to state employees, social & political organizations and parents’ community. Consideration of burning topics concerning participation of the parents’ community in formation of social and political order for education will occupy a special place within the above-mentioned event.
• New Russia Children’s and Youth Festival
  Guided by the motto “Applicant of the European level is our profile!” the Festival will welcome pupils from different Russian cities, who will research educational space based on the materials of the best teaching samples, demonstrated at the Forum. The Festival sees its main aim as that of testing a prototype of the social expertise of educational resources.
• International Youth Summit
  It will become a perfect platform for an open conversation between teenagers from Russia, Haiti, Peru, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Canada, Costa-Rica, Southern Korea, Poland on how the educational opportunities help them realize their life priorities. The Summit will be headed by the journalist Michel Renault.
• Round table discussion of the Russian schools overseas
  Representatives of the educational institutions will tell about the history, mission, achievements and problems seen in their schools, get acquainted with perspective Russian pedagogical developments and discuss their possible introduction into schools abroad. As a result, correspondent addressing speeches will be forwarded to state and public structures dealing with Russians overseas on mutually beneficial partnership.
• Round table discussion: regional and financial policy in the filed of education
  It will highlight regional programs of educational development and discussion of evaluation principles by the managing staff, which is in charge of regional educational bodies.

CONTEST PROGRAMME OF THE RUSSIAN EDUCATIONAL FORUM

•  Innovative Development Contest
  The contest is aimed at being professional support of the innovation sector in the domestic education and is held in 5 categories: innovations in up-bringing; innovations in teaching; innovations in management; innovations in staff training and re-training; innovations in educational techniques and visual teaching aids.
  
• Russian contest of research works and creative projects made by pre-school children and primary pupils – I am an Explorer
  “All events including a comprehensive business program arranged during the Russian Educational Forum predetermine direct participation of audience and discussion of public institutions on modern education quality and practical implementation of its criteria”, - remarked A.A. Fursenko, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.

Consequently, Russian educational Forum will become a social expertise institution of educational quality and results.
